5th of December 2007

http://pixelotto.com/faq

"What if you don't sell all the pixels?

If all the pixels are not sold after 12 months, then the draw will take place anyway, one month later. The jackpot will equal 50% of all the revenue that has been received up to that point."

Definitely not all pixels will be sold.
And I think all clickers are waiting for 5th of December 2007.

I'll create special reminder for this event in my Outlook and Smartphone.
And will not sold my Lotto Money Back domain name, just in case :)

Maybe I will be a winner :) I was a clicker too :)

Ofcourse you are a clicker. All criticizers on this site are. That proves that they believe in pixelotto. And that pixelotto is a success, despite the critic.

Not True. I am not a clicker and I am not advertiser too.

Tomorrow will be no 45. One month and half with no sales.

People should know that they have to work hard to earn money, not to fool people and try to earn money by doing nothing.

I am also not a clicker. I just follow the success and downfall of Mr. Tew.

I just follow the phenonema.

If there will be traffic on these weeks some website owners probably would buy ads on the board.

to get a good sense of perspective on the success of the MDHP (and not PL), and other "phenomenal" success and failure stories read "Fooled by Randomness", an excellent book. It helps explain how lucky fools make it big, as what is happening is that a current market cycle or trend (a phenomenon) is uniquely matched to the idea or style of the person. When the world moves on, the person convinces himself that he was "right all along" and that there was some underlying rationale behind his success. Whereas in reality this person was simply the one in a million who got lucky inn that moment in time. nobody is following the 999,999 losers and telling their story. What is important here is the long view, or sustainability of the person's approach, not the statistical blip, the "rare event" as the author calls it.

At the end of the day, people need stars, as it's practically impossible to make it big really fast, and everyone needs something to believe in. The media are there to feed us with what we want to see and hear, hence the story coverage. People too often mistake media coverage for "explanation of the facts". If you want to really tell what's important in life, switch off the telly, don't buy the papers, the real info will make itself known to you.

the MDHP made its money off a confluence of internet phenomena and media collusion, and of course, the fact that a minority people are innately greedy and lazy to a greater large extent. MDHP simply attracted those people; the Internet allowed the sample size of those folks to be collated and make the sample look sizeable. Whereas in reality, compared with the hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs in the UK alone, this was truly a statistical blip.

I don’t agree with you. people who purchased from lotto in the beginning did not (Understand) some facts, when the people started to understand .. Sales started to slow down .. Now every body understood the (Fake) and that why sales completely stopped. How come that you expect sales to speed up again ??

That was Mr LOL

Alex Filatov said...

How?
The 5th of December will be the day of higher attention to pixelotto.com
Some of mass media companies will want to show up who will be the winner of this lottery.
And someone will want to buy an ad place to be in the attention spot (or closer to it)

to Alex Filatov ..

it seems to me that you have doubts about considering pixelotto as a complete fail.

May I ask you a question ..

How could you explain that there in no one single (big) site advertised at MDHP or oixelotto ???

Sites like (Mcdonald-Google-pizza hut-wallmart) or even sites smaller than that like hotels or earoplane companies or any Professional site or company ..

Why?

Mr. LOL

Alex Filatov said...

This is simple.
They don't need such promotion.
They aimed to other target.

Alex Filatov said...

BTW, what can you say about lastminute.com? :)

Hi everyone,

I have been following the downfall of this project with interest, and have been looking to set up my own site, does anyone know a good UK based cheap host?

Alex Filatov said...

Why only UK?

The reason that there will be some more traffic, is because of the 150k dollars.

Now, it is months away. The span is much too wide. But if it is only a few weeks, there are probably some people who will try.

My own conclusion. The idea of selling pixels as a business, is just a total failure. Why, did MDHP succeed? Because Alex did not sell pixels, but a story. The story of a poor student becoming rich. And advertisers places their advertisements on this book of life.

And what did Mr. Tew? He removed the key of success (the story) from his new concept pixelotto. No, blog entries anymore, nothing.

So, then pixelotto becomes just a kind of game. And as a gambling game, it is just very bad. No scores, no small prices, the span of excitement much too large.

Just thought I'd let you know....I have now signed up with Effkay.com - thanks for the suggestion!

It may interest you guys to know that it is run by a bunch of entrepeneurs, and if you have an idea, they are willing to listen to it, and provide hosting and wed programming/design in exchange for equity

Alex, I don't think anyone would buy ads on your blog anymore as your content is drying up as pixelotto itself is so bad now!

Alex Filatov said...

Man, I do not sell any ads here.
I just let guys like you spam my blog with spam links :)

There may have been 23,000 registered players, but that doesn't mean 23,000 clicks on every ad. Most of those 23,000 have probably just clicked on a few ads, then lost interest once they realised there was no inflow of new advertisers.

Advertisers on this blog have reported getting only around 1,200 clicks in total. This is probably a reflection of the number of players who have come back day after day, doing their ten clicks until there were no more ads left.

The end date will actually be 4th of January 2008, one year and one month after the start. There are currently 474 clickable ads, requiring 48 days of play to click them all. Therefore any new players who want to maximise their chances of winning would have to join by 17 November 2007 at the latest. That's when you should see an increase in traffic.

"Advertisers on this blog have reported getting only around 1,200 clicks in total."

Where did you get this number?

I've digged all over the blog and didn't find it.

OK, it may be true but only for a 100 pix ad, situated somewhere at the bottom of the square. Larger ads at the top are likely to having got up to 23 000 clicks each. I think every registered player has clicked at least 100 times and thus about 100 ads have currently about 23 000 clicks each. A part of this 23 000 players will certainly return by the end of the year to click out all ads. Several thounds of new players will come, and finally I estimate winning odds as low as 1:10000.

So, clickers, don't kid yourself :)

Filip Roman said...

ok, with last ad, but 1/10.000 vor $150,000.00 is better than any other lottery.
